A new chapter named Tully

There are moments in life that quietly change everything.

No announcements, no grand gestures. Just a shift in the air, a new heartbeat joining the rhythm of a family.

Photographing the day this family went to collect

Tully was one of those moments.

From the very beginning, there was a sense of reverence to it all.

This was not just a visit. It was a crossing. A beginning.

The start of a lifelong connection unfolding in real time.

I had the privilege of standing nearby, camera in hand, witnessing joy take shape in its most natural form.

Tully greeted them in the place she had known as home.

Curious, gentle, and full of that unmistakable puppy magic.

The kind that softens shoulders and brings smiles without effort.

The family met her with open arms and open hearts, already instinctively moving around her, learning her rhythm, her energy, her presence.

This moment also held tenderness in another direction.

Mum Molly and Dad Marlow were there too. Steady, calm, watchful.

Their role slowly shifting as they entrusted their baby into new hands.

It was a handover filled with love, not loss.

A quiet knowing that Tully was stepping exactly where she was meant to be. Watching that exchange was deeply moving. A reminder that love doesn’t disappear when it changes form.

Xanthe, the breeder, held the entire space so beautifully.

Her warmth and care shaped the entire experience, guiding the transition with such intention and ease. She ensured it felt calm, respectful, and memorable for everyone involved. It was clear this was not simply about breeding dogs, but about honouring beginnings, endings, and the space between them.

The property in Gresford itself felt like a gift. Open land, soft light, and tucked within it all, a waterfall. After meeting Tully, the family were able to slow everything down even further. They swam together, letting the day unfold naturally, and Tully came along for her very first adventure. Tiny paws, big world.

Water, laughter, connection.

A first memory being written gently into her story.

It felt symbolic in the most beautiful way. Not rushing home.

Not hurrying the moment.

Just being together, already moving as a family.

Being invited into moments like this is never something I take lightly. These are chapters that can never be repeated. First meetings. First handovers. First adventures. To witness it and preserve it through photographs feels like a gift every time.

Tully’s story with her family began that day, but the love was already waiting. You could feel it finding its place, gently and surely. And one day, these images will be looked back on as the very beginning. The moment everything shifted, in the softest and most beautiful way.
